You are picked up from your accommodation at 10:00am. Our first stop is a warm, locally owned and operated boutique vineyard, Cathedral Rock. They planted their first Pinot Noir vines from sourced cuttings and have grown from there. They are welcoming and friendly and it is nestled in a special part of the world – ‘Cathedral Rock’ is stunning! Enjoy the tastings…
As you continue on one of the most memorable routes from Hobart to the Huon Valley, via the Channel Highway, the coast road alongside D’Entrecasteaux Channel, you will be inspired with the superb views on offer.
You will undoubtedly be feeling a little peckish by now so our next pit stop will be at the Steamhouse Café. It is a great little stop in Kettering. It has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food, excellent views and great coffee or hot chocolate. Enjoy!
Your next stop is at Nutpatch Chocolate. An artisan chocolate maker, who is passionate about the ‘love of chocolate’ creates his own accordingly. Great temptations delight all who visit.
Next, you can explore the love of ‘cider’ at Pagan Cider. They are proud to be a small boutique producer of Tasmanian premium class cider. Indulge in a cider of choice that is different to all other!
Next experience is to wander and take in the fresh country air and uniqueness of the township of Huonville, nestled on the banks of the Huon River.
Now that you have really worked up an appetite, the culinary pinnacle for the day awaits…Home Hill Winery. A family owned and operated business – once a hobby farm that planted a few vines and has now evolved into an award-winning vineyard, that produces some of Australia’s top Pinot Noir. Be comfortably guided through tastings before indulging in their extensive menu choices.
Home Hill Wine Tastings:

The estate is over 6 hectares of Huon Valley soil-rich land, 80% pinot, just under 20% chardonnay and the remainder sylvaner grapes, cool climate and rainfall result in superior grapes which allows them to produce superior Tasmanian wines.
Their concept is to source the finest Tasmanian products and enhance them with accompaniments from the Huon Valley. This delivers a modern Tasmanian dining experience which will undoubtedly exceed your expectations.
After that experience you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy the way back up the Huon Trail to arrive back at your accommodation at approximately 5:00/5:30pm.
