We drive through to Hobart’s prestigious suburb of Sandy Bay, excellent waterfront views of the Derwent River and interesting harbour sights. The University of Tasmania and the well Sandy Bay Beach to take in the perspective of one of Hobart’s beautiful southern suburbs. We stop for 10 minutes to smell Sandy Bays fresh sea air and great bird life
We drive back to the historic suburb of Battery Point
Jackman & McRoss, with a charming vibe and a great reputation for coffee pasties & savouries. Popular with locals and travellers alike for the very friendly service.

We travel over the Tasman Bridge on to Richmond, Tasmania’s most popular destinations, steeped in history, hub for food and wine lovers. Nestled in the heart of the Coal River Valley, the village is famous for its elegant Georgian architecture, with beautiful heritage buildings dating back as early as the 1820’s, now housing galleries, tea shops, craft boutiques and the oldest bridge in Australia 1823 Richmond Bridge.
You have half an hour to explore the Village.
Boutique family owned and operated vineyard was established in 1997, and produces premium Tasmanian wines from grapes grown at our single site vineyard, and then processed within an hour of picking in our energy neutral winery.

Lunch Time at Coal River Farm restaurant, real Australian farm cuisine with there own farmy twist. They take the best seasonal produce from the local Coal River Valley and their very talented chefs turn out some modern takes on classic dishes.
All other items on the menu are made fresh on site including the bread baked daily, everything from the condiments and pickles in their dishes to the smoking of the fish and other meats is done right here.

After Lunch we are off to Frogmore Creek’s Cellar Door in the Coal River Valley as one of the most noted destinations to visit in the area. Tasting opportunity to taste wines from across their brands and the diverse varietals that we produce. Speak with our knowledgeable team about Tasmanian cool climate wines, whilst over looking the vineyard and surrounding valley.
From Frogmore Creek we travel back towards Hobart stopping at Barilla Bay for very fresh oysters !!

After half a dozen oysters each we shows you the working factory and tasting of Abalone. Their premises are export approved and are required to meet stringent standards to maintain our accreditation. Tas Live Abalone primarily exports a variety of Premium Wild Abalone products to international markets around the world.
